Description

Hispanic STEM Empowerment Day is an event celebrating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), in the Hispanic and Latino immigrant community. All Broward Public Schools and the public are invited.
Students and parents will be introduced to cutting-edge interactive exhibits in engineering, health care technology, and computer games, as well as coding, underseas research, and 100 U.S. Army STEM careers and scholarship opportunites.


Approximately 400-500 of the best and brightest college-bound Hispanic and other students, grades 9-12, and family members are expected. The event is inclusive and open to all.

Ms. Giannina Duran, an Electrical Engineering student at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), and Vice President of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers FAU Chapter will the guest speaker.
