Hiroya Tsukamoto in Concert
Event Information
About this Event
On February 19, 2021, we welcome Hiroya Tsukamoto, an internationally acclaimed guitarist and songwriter, who will take us on a musical journey that should be a salve to us all in these difficult times in which we now find ourselves -- an innovative, impressionistic journey filled with earthy, organic soundscapes that impart a mood of peace and tranquility. We'd love for it to be in person, of course, but enjoying his performance livestreamed to your home is also an attractive notion, is it not?
The cost is $20. We want to emphasize that the concert revenue is going to the artist, as we deem it important to support musical artists, especially now when the option of live in-person performance is at best a difficult proposition. Consider that at this cost multiple family members can watch together.
With your purchase you will receive information on accessing the show at the prescribed time through a live YouTube feed.
Hiroya will perform from All Saints' Episcopal Church in Scotch Plains, NJ from which we will send the livestream. Built in late 19th century the church has outstanding acoustics. He will play two 40-minute sets with a brief intermission in between, enough time to grab a hot chocolate or other beverage of your choice.

This wonderful testimonial from one of the venues at which Hiroya performed gives you a sense of what to expect. "Hiroya immediately impressed the audience with his technical prowess on the guitar. Then as the concert progressed, he also revealed himself to be a skilled songwriter, a poetic spirit, and an engaging story teller. With a stage presence that is both humble and confident, Hiroya is a generous performer who won every heart in the house." -Gordon Peery / Monadnock Center for History and Culture (Peterborough, NH)
