Turn those food scraps into a rich fertilizer for your plants! Join Hiro's Bokashi Club to learn how!
About this event
Learn the Okinawan tradition of Bokashi composting – an anaerobic process that uses a special additive to ferment kitchen waste, including meat and dairy, into a healthy soil and nutrient-rich fertilizer for your plants. It's easy, quick, and doesn't smell! This method uses a mix of microorganisms that combats food rotting bacteria (and rotting odors), increases the speed of decomposition and enhances plant growth.
Need Pre-Made Bokashi?
You can purchase bokashi supplies from Anzen Hardware in Little Tokyo. Call (213) 628-7600 before visiting to inquire about stock.
