What can I expect from the Grainger Career Fair?
Candidates will be greeted by our team upon arrival to learn more about the Distribution Center Associate positions and what it's like to work at Grainger. We'll verify that you've filled out the job application in advance, and if you haven't, we'll direct you to an on-site computer to apply online. You'll work with a Grainger team member to review your resume and application, in addition to taking a tour of the facility. Please be sure to bring your updated resume.
Do I need to bring a resume?
Yes! All candidates, regardless if you've applied to the position in advance, should bring your updated resume to facilitate your on-site screen.
Should I apply for these roles prior to the hiring event?
Yes! Completing the application before the event is strongly recommended. It will not only get you in our system prior to the event, but it will save you approximately 30 minutes on-site at the event. Click here to apply online. When applying, we recommend completing the application on a desktop or laptop computer vs. a mobile phone.
Should I pre-register through Eventbrite for the hiring event?
Yes, we strongly encourage all interested candidates to indicate their interest in these new roles by pre-registering through Eventbrite. It will allow our team to better prepare for your arrival and most importantly, if you are unable to attend, we will be able to connect with you to continue the application and interview process.
What should I wear?
Business casual or interview attire is recommended. However, if you are coming directly from an existing job or a location where this attire isn't appropriate, that will not preclude you from working with our team during the event.
How much time should I expect to spend at the hiring event?
If you've filled out the application in advance, you can expect to be at the event for at least 45 minutes for your initial screen and a tour of the facility. If you have not filled out the application in advance, you'll spend an additional 30 minutes at the event to complete the online application. Additional time may be spent at the event to speak with hiring managers and other Grainger team members. Be sure to bring your updated resume!
