Description

NDSU Graduate Student and Collections Manager at the Fargo Air Museum, Angela Beaton will continue the Hiram M. and Ada. M. Drache lecture series starting at the Comstock House on March 15th starting at 6:30. During the war rural areas were subject to labor shortages, so local farmers had to the option to request prisoners of war to help out on their farms. Two local farmers took advantage of this program and POW housing was established in a Moorhead onion warehouse. Through photographs and discussion Beaton will tell all about the POW Camp in Moorhead and the people who worked there. After the talk, feel free to stay a little later to mingle, enjoy refreshments, and explore Moorhead's most historic old home.
