Event description

Description

Imago Dei Church is hosting Hip-Hop & the Gospel, a mini-conference and concert dedicated to helping the church assess and engage hip-hop culture through gospel lenses.

This is an event for everyone – whether you love rap music, theology or simply want to know more about how to evaluate art and culture from a Christian worldview.

Don't miss in-depth discussions about where Christian hip-hop began, how it’s changed and what the Bible says about engaging the culture around us. Speakers will address a range of issues from Christ to Kendrick Lamar, including a few hot-button topics in Christian rap.

The all-day event will feature keynote sessions, panel discussions and music from ...

  • The Ambassador (Duce Branch) // founding member of Cross Movement and professor of theology for The College at Southeastern in Wake Forest, N.C.
  • Shai Linne // church planter and award-winning rapper
  • God's Servant (Brian Davis) // hip-hop artist and pastor of Risen Christ Fellowship in Philadelphia, Penn.
  • Flame (Marcus Gray) // Grammy nominated hip-hop artist and founder of Clear Sight Records

Mini-conference check-in from 8-10 a.m.

Concert at 7 p.m.

Tickets // $15 (lunch included)
