Description

The first ever Hill Country Shrimp & Music Fest will take place on Saturday, September 21, from 2pm-10pm at the Agricultural Heritage Center in Boerne, Texas (102 City Park Rd, Boerne, Texas 78006). Shrimp and music lovers throughout the Boerne community, San Antonio and Texas Hill Country can enjoy great food, continuous live music from a wide variety of genres and kids' activities highlighting this all-day festival.

Shrimp, shrimp and more shrimp! A great selection of shrimp dishes will be available for purchase from local food trucks. Fried and broiled shrimp will be available for the traditionalists, and surprising flavors will leave mouths speechless and watering.

Watch and cheer on High School Culinary Arts Students and Home Cooks as they compete in the Shrimp & Music Fest Food Challenge judged by local celebrities.

Headliner Ruben V and Sonic Radio will be accompanied by other artists of various genres, offering a wide variety of sounds for music lovers all day.

A kids' area will feature magicians, face painters and fun games and activities for all ages.

Parking is free at adjacent Boerne City Park and the Kendall County Fairgrounds.

Tickets are available on EventBrite.com at: https://bit.ly/2YQLUV4. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Children under 12 are admitted free. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $100, providing access to a VIP lounge with drink tickets, snacks and private bar.

A portion of the proceeds from the Hill Country Shrimp & Music Fest will benefit Shared Beat, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports the health needs of children and families living around the Guatemala City dump and in rural communities. Shared Beat empowers the children and their families through health and wellness care and education so they can achieve self-reliance and a positive future.
