Join us for a moving hike in the Santa Cruz Mountains near the San Andreas Fault. We'll jolt our way through grasslands, woodlands, a riparian corridor, and an old orchard before visiting the Los Trancos earthquake trail.
We don't discriminate - this outing is open to both residents of the Pacific and the North American tectonic plates.
This is a moderate hike of 4 miles with about 600 feet in elevation change
WHERE TO MEET
We'll assemble at the main entrance to Monte Bello Open Space Preserve on Page Mill Road, 7 miles west of Highway 280 and 1.5 miles east of Skyline Boulevard.
Bring lunch, water, dress in layers, and wear good hiking shoes. Bring poles if you normally use them. If you have any questions about this outing, email Ken Lavin or phone him at 415-543-6771 x321.
