Description

Environmental Volunteers is partnering with Saved by Nature to bring you a series of hikes for seniors. The hikes are held at locations around the bay area and help you make friends and be inspired by the outdoors while staying healthy.

Details for August 19: Guadalupe River Park & Gardens is a three-mile ribbon of parkland that runs along the banks of the Guadalupe River in the heart of downtown San Jose.

This is an easy walk for about 1-2 miles on a flat surface. Hope to see you there!

Join us and Guadalupe River Park Conservancy's Education Program Manager Mel Sarmento as we discover the Guadalupe River Park & Gardens! We're going to explore the Heritage Rose Garden, Historic Orchard, Visitor Center, and Rotary PlayGarden. Then we'll take a relaxing walk along the ancient Guadalupe River learning about the plants and animals that call it home. This is a stop and go walk on a paved surface. Please bring water, a snack, sunblock and/or a hat. Bathrooms are on site. Be ready to have a good time - see you there!

September location details will be updated after the August Event
