Description

The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) meets each year at the UN for two weeks in March. This year the theme is Women’s Economic Empowerment in the Changing World of Work. Government representatives meet to share their countries' progress towards gender equality, and thousands of NGO leaders from all over the world meet simultaneously to share programs, projects, and successes around the theme.

The Alliance for Peacebuilding and The United Nations Association of the National Capital Area invite you to attend a panel of CSW participants who will share their highlights from the wide range of sessions held over the two week period.

Panelists include:

Dr. Marisa O. Ensor, Program on Justice and Peace, Georgetown University

Natko Gereš, MD, Program Officer, Promundo

Karen Mulhauser, immediate past Chair, United Nations Association of the USA

Kristen Hecht, Program Director, B.A. Rudolph Foundation

Kimberly Weichel, Moderator, Consultant, UN Women, Chair, Advisory Council, UNA NCA, and Chair, Women and Peacebuilding Affinity Group, AfP
