College-bound New Haven high school juniors and seniors and their parents are invited to this workshop presented by Mary K. Johnson, Financial Literacy & Consumer Advocacy Manager at Higher One in New Haven. Ms. Johnson will also announce a new scholarship opportunity available only to those who attend!
Don't be one of the many college students who fall into the traps of overspending and credit card debt that linger long after graduation. This workshop offers high school juniors and seniors a financial “heads-up” as they prepare for the college experience. Students will learn how to stay financially afloat with good money habits, including choosing and managing a bank account, and creating a budget they can live with. Parents will gain insight into the financial issues that college students must cope with for successful outcomes.
Those who register for this important training will qualify to apply for Higher One’s new $500 New Haven Community Book Scholarship for New Haven seniors. You MUST attend to be eligible for this scholarship. Guidelines and application forms will be available at the workshop.
