Event description

Description

This boot-camp experience seeks to provide higher education administrators with a two-and-a-half day intensive training and planning session that will leave leaders with actionable items they can immediately implement to make visible differences in several key areas on campus.

Participants will hear from experts, their peers, and work in small groups to develop action plans around advocacy and legislative engagement, crisis communications, branding and storytelling, fundraising and navigating board relationships, among other topics.

Each participant will be asked to areas which could benefit from building a new strategic plan and will have an opportunity to work with planning experts to craft a course of action that will put them on the best path for success in that area. Participants will also leave with an understanding or how to make a business case for diversity on campus -- and how to navigate the challenging climate facing of higher education, as it relates to diversity and civility.

The conference seeks to build a comfortable space to allow leaders to speak candidly and freely about challenges while presenting tangible solutions to fit each unique campus culture.
