High Voltage Cable Splicing - 24 Hrs. over 6 Days (Tues/Thurs)
Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM (PST)
This is a 24-hour course over 6-days: 4-hours each evening,
4:00pm - 8:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Class Days: January 31 and
February 2, 7, 9, 14 & 16
This course certifies a cable splicer for 2,001 through 35,000-volt electrical splices and terminations, MV Class. You will learn: inline and T splices – premolded, NEC applications, tape terminations & splices, load-break elbows, spiking techniques, hi-pot testing, cable-splicing log development, generation & distribution systems, and HV safety per 29 CFR 1910.269. Includes 3M certificate.
Students will need to bring their standard electrician's hand tools with them to class
in addition to the following Cable Splicing Hand Tools:
• Extremely sharp razor knife
• Several new razor knife blades
• Sharp lock-blade pocket knife
• Flat File -- metal filing type
• Close-work glasses
• Magnifying glass
• Clean rags or paper towels
• Slide-type Calipers (micrometer)
• Plastic or Rubber gloves (solvents will be handled)
• Hacksaw, Porta Band, or Sawzall
• Needle Nose pliers
• Telephone scissors
• 1” socket and 1/2” drive ratchet wrench

CANCELLATION POLICY: To receive a refund, you must provide 48 business-hours notice of cancellation. If you are tuition-covered, PLEASE NOTE your training funds can only pay for your tuition if you attend the entire class and receive your certificate. If you do not cancel within the required time or do not show up for or complete the course, you or your company (whoever registers you for the course) will be responsible for the full tuition.
