High Reliability Healthcare Academy: Leadership Development Program (October 1 - December 17, 2021)
Are you ready to lead? In today’s dynamic healthcare environment, leaders must be able to provide quality health care while they manage advances in technology, financial pressures, and extraordinary clinical challenges. Delivering safe, effective and reliable care requires an approach that integrates the science and practice of High Reliability, Quality Improvement, Leadership, Culture, Knowledge and Learning Systems.
The Jefferson College of Population Health, in partnership with Safe and Reliable Healthcare, LLC, is pleased to offer the High Reliability Healthcare Academy (HRHA) Leadership Development Program. This targeted training program for leaders will uniquely position them to meet complex and dynamic challenges.
The HRHA Leadership Development Program will provide a framework through which participants can lead their organizations to provide the highest quality care for patients and families.
In this highly practical and interactive virtual program, participants will:
- study relevant theories and concepts
- connect and work with other participants and international faculty to develop a capstone project, aligned to your organization and/or personal goals
- develop leadership skills and behaviors
- apply insights through core leadership activities that manifest High Reliability in practice.
Learn from the Success of Others
Designed for leaders (individuals or teams) within any healthcare organization, this intensive program helps participants to:
- Identify a consistent framework to align organizational efforts
- Assess the current state of performance within an organization and design the strategies for change and transformation
- Implement actionable strategies, skills, and data analytics aligned to priorities to enrich current performance demands and operational needs
- Design structures and processes that support the organization’s HRO journey

Session Dates and Information
This online program runs weekly on Fridays from October 1-December 17, 2021 (no class on November 26). Participants can expect to spend approximately 4 hours per week on this class (2 hours live/online plus personal reflection time in-between classes). Registration is limited to 40 participants.
During the program, faculty will be available for mentored coaching calls to discuss specific reliability challenges participants are facing.
