Date: Saturday, July 20
Time: 8:30 AM start (5+ hours)
Hike Leader: Bill & Eileen Glaser (Bill, Board of Directors; Eileen, Leadership Council)

What to Bring/Wear: Hiking boots, a small daypack, rain jacket, sunhat, bug/tick repellent, and sunscreen are recommended; 1 to 2 liters of water are a must (option to refill at the Stone House, half way through); snacks, trail food, or energy bars are also a good idea.

Details & Arrival Instructions: The hike is in Black Rock Forest (Cornwall, NY), and will begin on private property adjacent to the Forest, following little-used trails. An email will be sent to registered participants with parking information and arrival details.

Description: Join us on a vigorous hike to four high peaks with breathtaking views: Split Rock, Black Rock, Eagle Cliff and Jupiter’s Boulder in the heart of Black Rock Forest. We will be hiking 8+ miles over forest trails, stream crossings and the old Continental Road. The pace is moderate-vigorous with plenty of breaks to take in the spectacular scenery. The hike difficulty will be 2D8/3D8 or 2D9/3D9, using the rating categories of our local Appalachian Mountain Club branch. Not recommended for children under 12.

*There is an option to opt-out at the half-way mark - the Stone House; transportation will be provided back to the parking area around 11:30am.
