High Line Spring Cutback Training
New York, NY
Thanks for your interest in joining the High Line Spring Cutback 2013!
Get outdoors and celebrate a new season at the High Line. Spring Cutback is an annual horticultural initiative that involves cutting back last season's perennials and grasses to make way for the new growing season at the High Line. With one mile of parkland, and more than 225,000 square feet of planting beds, Spring Cutback is a monumental task – and we couldn’t do it without the dedicated volunteers like you.
This year's High Line Spring Cutback workshifts are Mondays and Wednesdays, from 8:00 AM - 10:30 AM and 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM, starting on Monday, March 4th and continuing through Friday, March 29th. We require that volunteers commit to working at least two shifts over the course of the month. We also require that volunteers attend a training session to get to know the High Line Gardeners and learn important tips for working in the park's planting beds. Training sessions are scheduled for 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM on the following dates:
- Tuesday, February 19th
- Thursday, February 21st
- Friday, February 22nd
If you are interested in becoming a Spring Cutback volunteer, and are able to commit to the above requirements, please RSVP by choosing ONE training date above.
We look forward to working with you!
