The World Health Organization and International Labour Organization are hosting an exclusive high level event to launch the report on the gender pay gap in the health and care sector. Space is limited, and we encourage you to register now.
This first-ever global report focusing on a specific labour sector reveals new and valuable insights on how women health and social care workers are paid - or rather, paid less - in countries around the world. The report highlights countries and approaches that address this imbalance and provide effective strategies to increase fairness and equity.
The event is co-sponsored by the Governments of Canada and Spain; the Permanent Missions to the United Nations or Costa Rica and Luxembourg, the International Labour Organization, United Nations Foundation and the World Health Organization.
Light refreshments will be offered from 7:15pm - 8:00pm, following the formal event.
