HOW ARE YOU DOING? (The Leader’s Physical, Emotional, & Spiritual Health)

Presenter: Dr. Matthew Brown

The purpose of this webinar is to address the importance of the physical, emotional, and spiritual health of pastors and ministry leaders. Recent surveys indicate that 80% of church leaders believe ministry has negatively affected their families, 75% have experienced stress-related health problems at least once, 52% feel overworked and undervalued regularly, and 35% of Pastors battle depression. The holistic health of the leader is critical to effective Christian ministry and growth. In this webinar, Dr. Matthew Brown, Senior Pastor of Greater Community COGIC, tackles this important issue, addresses problems that negatively impact the health of leaders, and shares strategies for achieving balance, health, and well-being as an empowered leader. Dr. Brown has served as Director of Communications to the Mayor of Buffalo and established Kingdom Advantage Training Academy, a comprehensive school of ministry for lay/clergy leadership.

Presenter: Evangelist Joyce Rodgers

The purpose of this webinar is to emphasize the important role that collaboration and strategic connections play in the success of contemporary ministry. Research evidence consistently shows burnout, frustration, and loneliness as top reasons why pastors and other church leaders abandon ministries each year. Effective, life-changing ministry requires covenant partnerships with purpose—strategic connections between the leader, co-laborers, agencies/organizations, and other ministries, much like Jesus collaborated with the 12 Disciples, John the Baptist, and many others. In this webinar, Evangelist Joyce Rodgers, Founder and CEO of Primary Purpose Ministries, Inc., and internationally recognized author, speaker, and authority on evangelism, uncovers the power of purposeful partnerships, reveals the essential ingredients for making them, and equips all for ministry today. Known across the country at “The Giant Slayer,” Evangelist Rodgers serves as the Chairlady of the International Youth Department of the Church of God in Christ (COGIC) and has established collaborative partnerships with agencies and ministries across Dallas and the nation.

In Matthew 5, Jesus teaches saying: “Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick, and it giveth light to all who are in the house.” In this webinar, the presenter will share the mechanics of marketing for ministry and reveals how social media can serve as today’s “candlestick” that aids in event promotion, mass marketing, and effective communications.

Presenter: Dr. Mark Ellis

The purpose of this webinar is to highlight the fundamentals of discipleship—what it is (what it’s not), how it works, and why it’s essential for contemporary urban ministry. Recall when Jesus told his Disciples to follow Him and He would make them “fishers of men” (Mark 4). Many church leaders and goers reference the Great Commission in terms of discipleship and evangelism, when Jesus said “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations…” (Matthew 28:19). Discipleship is vital to ministry growth, development, and empowerment. In this webinar, Dr. Mark Ellis, Pastor of United Christian Faith Ministries, draws upon his business and seminary training, nearly 20 years of ministry experience, and more to provide proven practical strategies and wisdom for building true discipleship through spiritual growth, sound doctrine and so much more! Dr. Ellis served as Chairman of the Board and CEO for the COGIC Publishing House and Bookstore for a number of years.
