About this event

High Cotton Comedy Club is a weekly comedy showcase with different lineups every week, featuring the best underground comedians in Memphis and around the country, every Tuesday at 8 at High Cotton Brewing Co.

Some of our comedians have been featured on Comedy Central, The Late Show, The Onion, the Daily Show, among others, and some have just been really funny in other bars around the city lately and may just be starting their rise. Either way, you'll have a good time.

This week (5/30), Dan Alten (IG: @goofydanalten ) is in from Louisville to headline. Dan's headlined shows in 30 states playing everything from theaters to punk basements to art galleries to beloved comedy clubs, recorded 2 albums, and filmed a pilot for an Amazon Prime stand up show that has still not aired. He's also opened for Kyle Kinane, Rory Scovel, Hari Kondabolu, rapper Open Mike Eagle, David Leibe Hart from Tim & Eric, punk bands Boner City and GRLwood, and a guy at an open mic who tried to throw his father’s ashes into the crowd. He's co-hosted the Funny Dinner podcast and run the diy record label LAFF Fest Records as well as the Louisville underground comedy house show the Dog & Mouse House which will be featured in an upcoming HBO special. He promises he's funny and interesting.

Tickets are $10 and can be bought online or at the door, but please buy online so the producers know there'll be an audience and don't give facebook more money for ads than they need to. Come have a drink and be stupid for a bit!
