About this event
With funding from NYFA(New York Foundation for the Arts), NYC indie Asian band Hang Hang Him to the Scales(HHTTS) will present Heteroglossia Sound Sessions, monthly free live music performances held at Lately Cafe in Long Island City, Queens from June to August. This project aims to connect the Queens community through accessible and engaging musical performance in a welcoming, intimate setting.
Thanks to a recent government arts grant, HHTTS is thrilled to share that we’ve completed a new body of work — and we’re celebrating with a summer series of free live shows at @latelycafe ”

🌀 Heteroglossia Sound Sessions (眾聲喧嘩系列)
From June to August, we’ll be hosting one show each month — each one different in format, lineup, and sound. Why? Because “heteroglossia” means many voices, and we’re inviting our friends to join in the noise (or simplicity).
🎸 Each night will feature a rotating cast of collaborators, depending on who’s down to play with us. If you’re in NYC and play an instrument, come cook with us🫣
🎤 We’ll also end every show with an open mic — local musicians, bands, and friends: if you're interested, hit us up!
