About this Event

Hershey Area All Things Diversity is a free series of programs to create awareness, and promote acceptance and inclusion in our community. It is coordinated by Derry Township, The Hershey Story Museum, Derry Township School District, Milton Hershey School, The Hershey Company, Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, and Hershey Trust Company.

The March program will be a virtual event livestreamed on the Derry Township YouTube channel.

Amy Keisling is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience working with individuals, couples and families. She will explore assumptions and reactions to gender identity, gender expression, and sexual identity; help viewers to understand the broad spectrum of gender-diversity and accepted best practices in gender-affirming care; and talk about the two most important actions that can affirm gender-diverse people, regardless of your relationship to them. Ms. Keisling will also share information about the Gender Health Clinic at PennState Health.

Ms. Keisling earned a Bachelor's Degree from Dickinson College and received a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. A member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), the primary focus of her work has been in the provision of gender-affirming care to transgender and gender-diverse people. She recently left the world of private clinical practice to become the Coordinator for the new pediatric and adolescent Gender Health Clinic at PennState Health, Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, serving the needs of transgender and gender-diverse children, adolescents, young adults, and their families.
