About this event
With more and more unaccompanied children, families, and other migrants arriving at the border daily, and as we expect to see an increase of incoming refugees and asylum seekers under the current administration, World Relief is here to prepare and equip church leaders and volunteers in the Chicagoland area to welcome them home!
The following are our keynote speakers for each session:
May 11th: Matthew Soerens, World Relief’s U.S. Director of Church Mobilization, will share updates about migrants at the U.S/Mexico border. Our Chicagoland staff will also share how you can welcome asylum seekers locally and make an impact in our communities.
May 18th: Susan Sperry, World Relief Chicagoland’s Executive Director, will talk about the future of the U.S. refugee resettlement program and what it means for our local ministry work in Chicagoland
