As President and Founder of Lori Fox-LGBTQ Business / Diversity & Inclusion Consulting, Lori works as a business consultant and personal coach, consulting with individuals and organizations on workplace inclusion issues. Lori works extensively with HR, Diversity & Inclusion and business professionals in Fortune 1000 companies, mid-sized companies, government and non-profit organizations, specializing in LGBTQ workplace issues, in particular Transgender inclusion in the workplace. Lori was formerly in Human Resources with McDonald’s Corporation, where, for more than twenty years, she provided HR, leadership and diversity consulting throughout the U.S. and international assignments. Lori is a frequent speaker and facilitator on LGBTQ Diversity and Inclusion issues on university campuses, business organizations and “open and affirming” churches within the US. As a Transgender woman, Lori is a passionate advocate for the incredibly diverse LGBTQ community, and lives her life with a passion for authenticity and excellence.
Dr. Hidalgo is a medical psychologist in the Division of Adolescent Medicine and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He specializes in treating mood, anxiety, and stress-related conditions using evidence-based individual, group, and family-based psychotherapy with gender-and sexuality-diverse youth. Dr. Hidalgo regularly staffs the multi-disciplinary Gender Development Clinic, and occasional staffs a clinic for youth with disorders of sex differences. His research examines health behavior, mental health, HIV prevention, and gender identity development in LGBT individuals. Dr. Hidalgo received his PhD (2011) and MA (2007) from DePaul University, his BA (2004) from San Francisco State University and he completed post-doctoral clinical training at Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School (2012) and at Lurie Children's (2014).
Throughout her legal career, Sally has concentrated exclusively on representing management in both the private and public sectors in all aspects of labor and employment law. She is a Partner in Franczek Radelet’s Education Law Practice Group, which represents public and private research institutions, community colleges, liberal arts and graduate schools, academic medical centers, and for-profit higher education institutions. She has represented clients in response to discrimination claims brought by transgender individuals, and led a presentation, Transgender Issues in the Workplace, at the firm’s 2016 Employment Law Conference. She is currently a member of the Illinois Council of School Attorneys and the National Council of School Attorneys.
Vanessa Sheridan is an expert business consultant, a respected author, a highly skilled transgender inclusion/awareness trainer, an in-demand speaker on transgender workplace issues, and a leading national voice for transgender equality and gender authenticity. She is currently the Director of Transgender Relations & Community Engagement for Chicago's Center on Halsted, the third largest LGBT community center in the United States. Since 1991, Vanessa has helped organizations enhance their cultural competence through her professional business services. She is the author of the internationally acclaimed business book, The Complete Guide to Transgender in The Workplace--the first hardcover, full-length volume on this leading-edge business topic ever released by a mainstream publisher.
