Herbs with Healing Properties
Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM (EST)
Did you know the scent you smell when breathing in the delicious aroma of a rose is the essence, or essential oil, of rose? Did you know some plants give off an aroma, while others do not?
If you want to learn more about the mysterious nature of essential oils, join Gardening for Good at the Shi Center for Sustainability on Jan. 23 for a FREE workshop. Susan Cobb, a local enthusiast and purveyor of essential oils, will be sharing her knowledge of essential oils in an interactive presentation. This will include an introduction to the benefits and uses of essential oils as well as profiles of herbs that grow well in the Upstate such as German chamomile, thyme and lavender. It's cold outside, so come in and learn more about this unique topic.
