About this Event

Welcome to C. Art Press's first 2020 event, dedicated to working with vibrant, creative and enthusiastic people looking for a refresh for their health and wellness by using herbs, art, meditation and good vibes!

We'll learn about and use refreshing herbs to help jolt us into Spring, by reinvigorating our palette, explore how herbs can make our bodies feel better, express ourselves in individual and group art activities and help clear out built-up, winter-induced emotional strain and stress through meditation and bibliotherapy.

Agenda:

1. 11 am- 11:15 am: Arrival and appetizers

2. 11:15- 12:00 pm: Welcome, meditation and Network Board

3. 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm: Herbal Remedies (Herbal Processes/preparations, Taste-testing, DIY pomades, oils or beverages)

4. 1:00 pm - 1:15 pm: Light lunch, Network, Break

5. 1:20 pm - 2:20 pm: Therapeutic Arts (Color scheme and emotions, word-art manifestations, shared stories and bibliotherapy)

6. 2:20-2:30 pm: Feedback

  • Participants will be able to choose if they'd like to make their own herbal beverage, pomade or oil
  • Participants will be able to taste test herbal beverages and pre-made pomades/salves. There will be DIY herbal preparation stations
  • Meditation session will include breathing techniques and sound therapy
  • Therapeutic arts will include a painting session and incorporating bibliotherapy
  • Children are welcomed but due to the nature of the healing work we do, it may be sensitive to children. We also do not provide child-care services, at this moment
  • We ask everyone to step up and step back, to allow everyone a chance to speak and listen. We promote healthy conversations in groups and value your independent agency.
