10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Instructor: Justin Townes

Have you ever wondered if any of the “weedy plants” growing all around us has any beneficial use? Or is it just me?... Hahaha! Well maybe so? Either way this a question I was curious enough to ask myself? To wonder if these plants that grow all around us are trying to tell us something? Communicate with us? Well, I found out that this is a YES! If we learn to take the time to slow down and listen, nature is communicating with us all the time. I took an interest and found that most of the plants that are growing around me are medicinal. Medicine grows all around us in plain sight. In this class, I’m going to share these plants with you, and how to safely grow, contain and make your own herbal remedies with medicinal plants growing in your backyard. The goal is to bring knowledge “power” back to the communities all around us and how to safely (with great understanding and respect for the plants) bring holistic health and wellness.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available to FNGLA Certified Professionals upon request.
