About this event
Treat your kids to an unforgettable summer experience! Students will learn a variety of skills related to food, cooking, nature, and herbalism. Activities include heirloom gardening, Appalachian woodstove and open-hearth cookery, traditional foods preservation, wild foods foraging, and herbal medicine making. Guest instructors include local chefs, foragers, and herbalists.
Our Summer Camps for Ages 9-12 are offered over three weeks! Each week of camp focuses on a different topic related to wildcrafting; foraging, cookery, and herbalism. By the end of each camp week, students will have gained valuable knowledge and resources plus plenty of handmade goods to take home.
Although lessons build upon each other, parents can register for one, two, or all three weeks of camp!
