About this event

Stressed? Chronic & acute stress effects many of the body's functions & organs, including digestion, detoxification, sleep, energy levels, gut & skin health, and more. By remaining in fight or flight mode in situations where we are actually safe, we limit our potential as human beings.

If you experience a chronically dysregulated and/or stressed nervous system, or if you are just curious about herbal medicine and how we can utilize plants to support and nourish the body.. join us!

Four 4 weeks, we will highlight a few herbs during each class, discuss their properties, energetics & actions, and provide ideas for how to enjoy each herb.

This class is part of a series where we will focus on different body systems and how to support them with nutrition and herbal medicine. All classes are available as drop-ins. You do not need to have attended previous classes to join!

About your host, Ashke Zinctala:

Certified Clinical Herbalist, Certified Clinical Nutritionist, Certified Bach Flower Essences Practitioner, Certified Trauma Informed Practitioner, Certified TRE® Provider, and Educator

Ashke was inspired to begin studying herbal medicines almost a decade ago after not finding the answers she was looking for within the standard medical system. She attended the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism where she earned a certificate as a Clinical Herbalist, Clinical Nutritionist, and Bach Flower Essence Practitioner. She is also a certified trauma informed practitioner through the American Herbalists Guild, as well as a TRE® Certified Provider. Her herbal clinic is named Maka Pejuta, which means Earth Medicine in the Lakota language, reflecting the foundation for her work with clients. She is a descendent of the Oglala and Sicangu Lakota Sioux, and hope to carry on the legacy and traditions of my ancestors with her work. Ashke's happy place is by a river with some nutritive tea, her guitar, and a good book. <3
