Trees Atlanta's Kendeda Center space on Chester Avenue becomes a public art exhibit in September of 2022 with artists inspired by the environment, celebrating the natural world and sometimes lamenting the Georgia landscape. The intensely personal artistic visions have been curated by Georgia artist Katherine Mitchell.

The works of Georgians from the mountains to the coast show us both the beauty and the threat as Meridian Herald and Trees Atlanta present this brilliant collection truly heralding a confluence of the arts and the environment.

Artists include Linda Armstrong, Paul Benjamin, Alan Campbell, Susan Cofer, Tina Dunkley, Emily Hirn, Jonathan Imafidor, Amy Landesberg, Katherine Mitchell, Eleanor Neal, Billy Renkl, Michael Scoffield, Corrina Sephora, Freddie Styles, Constance Thalken, Gwendolyn Walker, Larry Walker, and more.

This opening reception will take place on September 11th from 6-8 pm. Wine and music provided!

On September 12th, from 9:30-11 am, Billy Renkl, illustrator of the children's book "When You Breathe” by Diana Farid will read to a class of children and talk about his illustrations.

This truly great group of artists’ work will continue to be on exhibition from September 12th through 16th, 11am – 4pm (with the exception of Wednesday the 14th)
