Event description
Join the City of Andover and the Andover Pollinator Awareness Project for a tour highlighting a unique prairie oasis!

About this Event

The City of Andover and the Andover Pollinator Awareness Project are sponsoring a local garden tour for the sixth year in a row, but this time it’s a little different.

This year, the tour will highlight local Andover resident, Jerry Hemingson, and his impressive prairie. Jerry started working on his labor of love four years ago, individually planting over 1000 wildflowers with pollinators in mind. Now, the prairie is blooming with over 10,000 plants!

Jerry is a proponent of planting for the future and has his finger on the pulse of innovation. Spend the day learning from an expert in prairie restoration and find out how you can create a resilient native garden and pollinator oasis of your own!

Guided tours are on Saturday, July 18th, 2020 starting at 10am and Noon with drop-ins allowed between 10am to 2pm. Registration is free, but space is limited to the first 20 sign-ups per tour slot. Adults and well-behaved children only, please! Thank you!

More information and a map of the site will be available on the Andover Pollinator Awareness Project’s webpage by June:
