Event description

Description

When available accommodations for the Standards of Learning (SOLs) exams just aren’t enough, there are alternatives students with disabilities can access. Learn how alternatives to the SOLs can be made available to your student when their disability prevents them from demonstrating their knowledge sufficiently to achieve the verified credits needed for an Advanced Studies or Standard Diploma. Presented by Rhonda Jackson, Add VOICE too, LLC.

Rhonda Jackson, is an adoptive parent to a teenage son who has received special education services for over 10 years within the public school setting. Rhonda is an Educational Business Consultant, with training in Transition Services for students with disabilities. She is the founder of Add VOICE Too, LLC which provides training services to prepare young adults who are transitioning to postecondary activities. She has a Master's degree in both Business and Public Administration and is board certified as a special education advocate, with over 15 years of advocacy experience.

Note: no child care is available for the session; older, participating youth are welcome. Please register all attendees.
