Event description
Join Us for a Panel on Helping Women Navigate “Snakes and Ladder” in their Career: Reframing the Conversation around Women in Leadership

About this Event

What happens when a more robust pipeline of female talent doesn’t produce more women leaders in an organization? Research suggests that the challenge has nothing to do with pipelines. Instead, the challenge is more akin to the ancient game of “Snakes and Ladders”: as women work to advance their careers, they’re more likely to encounter snakes that delay or derail their career advancement. Men, in contrast, are more likely to encounter ladders that accelerate theirs. Join us to hear from women who’ve managed to navigate this game successfully, women who chose to leave the game, and companies that are changing the game.

Our panel will be hosted by Cynthia Emrich and include Lale Topcuoglu of JO Hambro; Mary Davis Holt of Flynn, Heath, Holt; Lucy Sorrentini of Impact Consulting; and Rick Greene of Heidrick & Struggles.
