About this event

Nonprofits like The TraRon Center and Youth for Tomorrow's Girls on a Journey understand the healing power of art and use it to help young people overcome trauma and find their voices. Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra and DC Strings Workshop have joined forces to celebrate not only the return of live music, but also the good work of these charities.

Helping the Helpers: A Benefit Concert will take place on Saturday, July 31st at 8:00 PM at The Fabriek Center, 17650 Possum Point Road, Dumfries, Virginia. The event will be emceed by Vice Chair Andrea Bailey, Potomac District Supervisor for the Prince William Board of County Supervisors, and will include stirring works for orchestra and soprano, featuring the sumptuous vocals of soloist Fairouz Foty. Proceeds of the event will benefit The TraRon Center and Girls on a Journey.

Doors and the cash bar open at 7:30 PM; the livestream link will be available at 7:45 PM. In-person concertgoers are invited to meet the musicians at a post-concert reception.

Seating for this intimate event is limited and advanced purchase is suggested.

General Admission Floor Seating: $30

Livestream (link provided the day before the event): $20

VIP Balcony Seating (high top and couch chairs, includes two complimentary drinks): $75

ABOUT OLD BRIDGE CHAMBER ORCHESTRA

Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra is an all-volunteer ensemble established in 1998 by musicians dedicated to providing wonderful, low cost or free concerts in greater Prince William. In addition to its orchestral offerings, OBCO makes its musicians available for community and private events. OBCO is a proud institutional member of the Prince William County Arts Council and was featured in the August 2014 edition of Prince William Living. OBCO is grateful for its financial supporters including the Prince William County Department of Parks and Recreation.
