In this CELT session you will learn classroom strategies to improve the working memory of your students. Working memory is crucial in the learning process and there are specific tools that can help enhance working memory. Two simulations, with and without working memory strategies, will be used to demonstrate the role of working memory in learning and to show effective teaching tools to enhance it.
1. Participants will be able to describe the role of working memory in the learning process.
2. Participants will be able to describe effective and ineffective working memory strategies.
3. Participants will be able to apply working memory strategies to their personal lectures and teaching.
