Almost-college students are facing increased anxieties as colleges announce their plans for atypical fall semesters. Knowing that students with ADHD experience more stress, complicated transitional issues, and greater academic difficulties than those without ADHD, how can high school parents support their teens while they are all stuck at home?
In this webinar, Dr. Andrea Brenner will discuss:
•Turning challenges related to COVID-19 into needed college skills: how to determine your teen’s specific needs for growth
•Pursuing disability accommodations in college: helping teens navigate the process
•Easy online activities for students and parents to begin feeling connected with campuses, even when they are shuttered
•Goals for college and high school mental health: understanding the differences between normative stress and distress
•Teaching your teens to take control of daily tasks, health, and wellness to prepare for college independence
•Prompts for important pre-college conversations between teens and their parents
