About this Event

For the Helpfully May 25 lunch we will explore the topic of sleeping better. A lot of us have developed very bad habits around sleep like eating late, drinking caffeine or cocktails before bed and keeping our smartphones beside our pillow at night.  All of these and many more things lead to sleep deprivation . 

A single night without much sleep can leave you feeling cranky and unmotivated. You may be too tired to work efficiently, to exercise, or to eat healthfully. However, over time, sleep deprivation raises the risk for obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease and even depression and anxiety. In some cases sleep deprivation leads to work and driving accidents.  The National Department of Transportation estimates that each year, drowsy driving is responsible for 1,550 fatalities and 40,000 nonfatal injuries in the United States.

We'll discuss ways to get the sleep you need and share tips on how to avoid eating too late and exercise so you can fall asleep and stay asleep at night.   We'll plan to gather at the hostess stand and eat on the outside patio.  Please register below so we can have an accurate count.
