Help GRANTed: How to Write a Successful Grant Proposal

This course is designed to teach beginners how to write successful grant proposals. This course has a heavy writing focus and will provide students with the opportunity to write an actual grant. Upon completion of the course, participants will obtain a certification as a Grant Writer.


FACILITATED BY

Latrina Patrick

Ms. Patrick is a Certified Grants Specialist with more than 15 years experience writing grants for private foundations, state agencies, and federal agencies. She has also served as a federal grant reviewer for various government agencies

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • Teach participants how to navigate through a federal Request for Proposals (RFP).

  • Guide participants through the process of writing a Problem Statement and Program Description.

  • Teach participants to construct a detailed budget and justification.

  • Provide tips for becoming a professional grant writer for hire.

  • Construct a grant proposal that includes all required components.
