Event description

Description

This past fall, the RCD and many different community groups, families, and individuals came together to plant 200 baby oaks in the Old Rodeo Grounds in Topanga State Park. We are hopeful that these trees can grow into a forest for future generations to retreat to and enjoy. But, the work of hand planting a forest is far from over. Although the rains this winter have given our new oaks a good start, they will need help to survive their first spring and summer. We are asking for help from people committed to a greener and more tree-filled future to help us weed ad water the new trees. We can't do this without you!

Meet at the entrance gate on Topanga Canyon Blvd, located on the south-bound side, approximately 500 yards from the intersection with Pacific Coast Highway. Park along the shoulder of Topanga Canyon Blvd (near the old Rodeo Grounds Rd) or at the Topanga Ranch Motel.

Please wear closed toe shoes and bring a gallon of water. We will provide tools and extra water.
