About this event
The idea behind this monthly workshop is to create a space to learn about and practice mindfulness in ways that may be a little more easeful and approachable than sitting in formal meditation. Participants will be led in multiple opportunities to practice mindful attention through art making, movement, meditation, and journaling, and each month, these practices will be centered around a specific topic or intention. Regular practice in mindfulness can have profound benefits in mental and physical health and overall well-being. By providing this space to try out different aspects of mindfulness, the aim is to ultimately find a practice that works well for you.
*No experience with art making, mindful movement, meditation, or journaling is necessary to participate.
**Bring your own art materials to use during this virtual workshop. Prompts for art making can be adapted to whatever you have on hand.
Workshops are led by Board Certified Art Therapist and Registered Yoga Instructor Catherine Harris, MA, ATR-BC, RYT 200 of HeartSpace Wellness Studio.
