Description

American Heart Association Heartsaver® Courses are classroom, video-based, instructor-led courses designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (for example, OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Students receive a course completion card that is valid for 2 years.

This class is best suited for:

  • Child care workers
  • Teachers
  • Foster care workers
  • Camp counselors
  • Youth organizations
  • Coaches for children’s sports organizations
  • Others responsible for children including parents, grandparents, babysitters and guardians

In the Heartsaver® CPR AED course, you will learn adult and child CPR and AED use, infant CPR, and how to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants. This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a Heartsaver® CPR (Infant CPR, Child CPR AED, Adult CPR AED) completion card that is valid for 2 years.
