Event description
Peers must attend these sessions to understand and practice the HEART peer support model to aid the Route 91 family in a new, unique way.

About this event

These four online training sessions and three online practice sessions represent the next step for those interested in providing peer support through the Vegas Strong Resiliency Center's new Route 91 peer support initiative, HEART (Helping, Empowering, And Rebuilding Together). HEART Peer Mentors are trained to offer support to others on an individual basis. They are well-versed in evidence-based best practices to support each other and also have the benefit and guidance of trauma-informed coaches.

Peer Mentors must complete all of the training and practice sessions (10/14, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4, 11/11, 11/18, and 12/2) to be included in the program. If you are unable to attend one or more of the live training sessions, you may watch recordings of the sessions at your leisure.
