Hear Me, See Me - justice, equality, and the inclusive power of the arts
Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM (MST)
"Hear Me, See Me" is a documentary about justice, equality and the inclusive power of the arts.
In 2012, Tucson theatre troupe Stories that Soar! partnered with Open Lens Productions to create a documentary chronicling the challenges of creating a live theatre production intended for deaf and blind audiences. The issues of justice, equality and universal design surfaced, telling a compelling story of what it means to create art and space that is truly inclusive.
This event is co-hosted by partners of Stories That Soar! -- The Aurora Foundation of Southern Arizona, The Loft Cinema, Arizona Blind and Deaf Children's Foundation, and the office of Pima County Supervisor Richard Elias.
