Join 200 of your youth-serving colleagues for the Annual Healthy Youth Provider Conference! Teachers, counselors, health professionals, social workers and other service providers who champion youth of Central Texas are invited to join us Thursday May 22nd at the Texas State Capitol to become inspired, empowered and connected!
We are thrilled to have Courtney Jones, Founder and Executive Director ofChange1, kicking off our day with an inspiring keynote address. Change1 has a mission to improve the lives of young people who age out of the Texas Foster Care system; by planting a new way of thinking, one of hope, possibilities, and purpose. She is helping to change lives, one child at a time.

This year we are adding an event called the Youth Provider Connection (YPC), which will take place during the conference after the last break out session, and before the closing remarks. The members of HYP's Leadership Development Academy (LDA) developed this event as their collaborative project. The members wanted to create an event that increased connections and networks of the HYP community (and any other youth service providers.) As a result of the Youth Provider Connection, LDA members hope that by increasing a service provider’s network, they will be able to better serve and more narrowly address the needs of youth in our community.
Located within the School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin, the Texas Institute for Child & Family Wellbeing enhances the lives of children and families through transformational research, program evaluation, curriculum development and policy analyses that foster meaningful solutions for vulnerable populations. Utilizing our experiences in both direct social work practice and social welfare policy, our researchers seek to build evidence for social work practitioners and policy makers to improve practices and systems.
