Presented By: Karen Tilashalski, Community Health Specialist, Chestnut Health Systems
Karen grew up in Edwardsville and holds a Master's in Education degree from SIUE. She has been employed as a Community Health Specialist and Coalition Coordinator for Chestnut Health Systems for 9 years. She is working on an Illinois Department of Human Services’ Overdose Education & Naloxone Distribution grant. Her work involves harm reduction awareness, NARCAN® training and distribution, coalition work, and data collection. Karen has worked as a prevention specialist for 20 years and as an educator for over 40. She currently lives in Maryville where she gardens, refinishes furniture, paints, and loves chasing around her 2 grandchildren.
