Description

Are you concerned that your child is experiencing unhealthy interactions with their peers? Are you concerned about your child's use of social media? Are you concerned that your middle/high school student is unaware of dating dangers?

Please join The Council of Elders of the Black Community of Howard County along with representatives of the Howard County Public School System and the Howard County Police Department as they discuss the impact of your child having healthy relationships with their peers.


For Elementary Students: Healthy Relationships with their peers

For Secondary Students: Healthy Relationships with their peers, Dating Dangers and Topic Review/Input for the Summer/Fall 2016

  • Discuss signs of healthy and unhealthy relationships with peers for all school levels.

  • For the middle and high school students, there will be additional discussions about dating dangers which will include individual male/female sessions, followed by a combined session.

  • This session also addresses the use of social media and the consequences of posting personal information about relationships.

  • Representation from the Howard County Police Department (HCPD) will be in attendance to share appropriate information, by school level, with the students.
