The Wellness team at EMU is pleased to offer FREE on campus cooking classes in the newly renovated kitchen at Office of Nutrition Services.
When: June 15th, 2017 from 12pm to 1pm
Where: Office of Nutrition Services Kitchen (Rackham Building)
Cost: FREE – RSVP is required

Class Description: The key to improving heart health is much more than putting down the salt shaker. This class will empower employees who have high cholesterol, hypertension, and heart disease with information and demonstrations on the basics of heart healthy nutrition, nutrition label reading and tasty alternatives that will lower their blood pressure and improve their overall health.

Topics Covered in Class: American Heart Association dietary recommendations and tasty whole food, plant-based recipes that are simple to make and good for the heart.

Target Audience: Everyone is welcome to participate. Employees who have hypertension, high cholesterol, heart disease, or are at risk for these diseases may benefit from the information, and cooking techniques offered in the class.
