IFMA SF - Educational Event on Healthy Buildings

Join IFMA SF on Wednesday, May 15th for a educational event on Healthy Buildings. We will have a panel discussion, brief presentation, and a short tour at the end of the discussion.

How could modifications of the build environment optimize the health and well being of the building occupants? Are you familiar with the new green building certifications that focus on human health?

Please join us on May 15th to learn how to become a leader in the healthy building movement. We will provide an overview of the WELL Building standard launched in 2015 as a complement to LEED by the International Well Building Institute, and of Fitwel, launched in 2017 by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the General Services Administration, to support healthy work environments with a strong focus on building operations. Our group of expert panelists will share their first-hand experiences from the owner, designer, construction, and consulting point of view.

Panelists:

Adhamina Rodriguez is the founder and CEO of AR Green Consulting and has over 20 years of experience bridging interdisciplinary teams to improve sustainability in buildings. She has been involved in hundreds of green building projects and brings a passion for improving human health and wellbeing in the build environment. Adhamina teaches at U.C. Berkeley Extension since 2009, and lectures at Stanford University since 2001. Engineering-News-Record recognized Adhamina in 2011 among California’s Top-20-Under-40.
