About this event

With the current pandemic accelerating the revolution of AI in healthcare, where is the industry heading in the next 5-10 years? What are the key challenges and most exciting opportunities?

To answer those questions, DeepLearning.AI and Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI) are proud to present our virtual event, Healthcare’s AI Future: A Conversation with Fei-Fei Li & Andrew Ng, at 10am PT on April 29.

What's special about this event is that you get to decide what our speakers talk about. If you'd like to submit and upvote questions for our speakers, please sign up for the Q&A + General access ticket. Submit your questions through the Slido link attached in your order confirmation email. During the event, Fei-Fei and Andrew will discuss many of the topics and questions you submitted, followed by a Q&A session where we will take live questions.

This event will be moderated by Curtis Langlotz, director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Imaging (AIMI Center). Special thanks to AIMI Center for their support of this event.

Event agenda in PT (*subject to change):

10am-10:45am: Fireside chat

About the speakers:

Dr. Fei-Fei Li is the Sequoia Professor of Computer Science at Stanford University and Denning Co-Director of the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered AI (HAI). Before founding HAI in 2019, she served as the Director of Stanford’s AI Lab. She was a Vice President at Google and served as Chief Scientist of AI/ML at Google Cloud during her Stanford sabbatical in 2017-2018. She is an elected member of the National Academy of Engineering and the National Academy of Medicine, among other distinctions. Prior to joining Stanford, Dr. Li was on faculty at Princeton University and University of Illinois Urbana- Champaign.

Dr. Andrew Ng is Founder of DeepLearning.AI, General Partner at AI Fund, Chairman and Co-Founder of Coursera, and an Adjunct Professor at Stanford University. As a pioneer both in machine learning and online education, Dr. Ng has changed countless lives through his work in AI, authoring or co-authoring over 100 research papers in machine learning, robotics and related fields. Previously, he was chief scientist at Baidu, the founding lead of the Google Brain team, and the co-founder of Coursera – the world's largest MOOC platform. Dr. Ng now focuses his time primarily on his entrepreneurial ventures, looking for the best ways to accelerate responsible AI practices in the larger global economy.

Curtis P. Langlotz, MD, PhD is Professor of Radiology and Biomedical Informatics and Director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Imaging (AIMI Center) at Stanford University. As a Medical Informatics Director for Stanford Health Care, he is also responsible for the computer technology that supports the Stanford Radiology practice. The AIMI Center develops machine learning methods that enable computer systems to draw complex inferences from image information and associated clinical data to augment the skills of human imaging professionals. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) as Liaison for Informatics.
