Event description

Description

Please join the UW Department of Health Services for a reception with alumni and friends! Following the reception, all guests are invited (and encouraged!) to attend a lecture presented by Maria Hinojosa, news correspondent & journalist, titled: Testing the Limits of Due Process Denial: Latinos and Immigrants as the Canaries in the Mine. Catch up with classmates, meet new Huskies, and learn about an essential public health topic.

Wednesday, November 1, 2017

6:00-7:00pm (reception), 7:30pm (lecture)

Schultzy's Bar & Grill (4114 University Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105)

We will meet at Schultzy's on the Ave. The Department will be providing pitchers of beer and orders of fries to kick things off. Then, we will walk over together to Hinojosa's lecture, which begins at 7:30pm. We will be seated together in Kane Hall in a section labeled "Friends of the School of Public Health." Please be seated by 7:15pm, at which time they will give away unclaimed seats to those waiting on stand-by.

Please RSVP here by October 23, 2017 to secure your attendance at the reception and lecture.
