Description

The Institute for the Advancement of Community Health (IACH) invites you to attend the 3rd Annual Community Health Symposium, Health Equity: Closing the Gap, on November 1st, 2019, from 12:30 to 5:30 pm, in the Melvin and Dollie Younts Conference Center at Furman University. There is a $20 fee that includes all food and drinks. This event will focus on health equity in Greenville, both from a broad, national perspective and within specific local organizations, including Momentum Bike Clubs, Soteria, United Way, PASOs, and Pride Link, among others.

Natalie Burke, President and CEO of CommonHealth ACTION, will deliver the keynote address. Burke is a nationally-known speaker and public health leader, and currently serves as the co-director of the Culture of Health Leaders National Program Center, funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and the Director of the Kaiser Permanente Institute for Equitable Leadership. The keynote address will emphasize producing more positive health outcomes within Greenville County through equitable policy, programs, and practices. Please see below for the official agenda.
